Matt Harding
Matt Harding qualified in 1998 following a course of study at what is now the University of Lincoln School of Architecture. The school taught a modern, progressive, and creatively based course which enabled Matt to develop his interest in Modernism and the architecture of the Modern Movement. Matt achieved a First Class Honours Degree in Architecture, a Bachelor of Architecture Post Graduate Degree and finally registered in 2000.
Since qualification, he has worked in private practice on a wide range of project types; often involved in the early stages of projects he enjoys the initial work in developing client briefs and sketch schemes. Matt has overseen many projects from concept stage through to completion on site and enjoys the task of carrying through initial ideas developed with client teams, through to completed buildings with rigour and commitment.
Matt has been working with Nick Allen at Metz for more than 10 years and was recently appointed as a Director of the company. He has been instrumental in delivering the practice toward implementation of REM (Rapid Energy Modelling) and developing MetzREM as a service complimentary to the practice's architectural output.
Matt is an active member of the Leicestershire and Rutland Society of Architects and Chairman of the Property and Estates Committee for the Freemen of the City of Leicester.
