MetzBIM is a subsidiary business of MetzArchitects. MetzArchitects have been using BIM for a number of years and we like to think of ourselves as at the leading edge of understanding BIM amongst Construction Professionals. We therefore understand what architects and specifiers need from BIM’s (Building Information Models) and how the processes and protocols to deliver a project using BIM have evolved.

Metz are actively involved in development of the upcoming standards for BIM as consultees to the British Standards Institute (B555) for the new standards for Construction Product Library Data, BS 8541 Parts, 1, 2, 3 & 4.

Metz are BETA testers for NBS's new object based specification NBS Create.

Metz are active members of BuildingSmart the International Alliance for Interoperability who are at the forefront of developing international standards for the common use of structured data.

Working with Howitt Consulting Metz have been involved with helping Product Suppliers and Manufacturers understand the workings of the construction industry for over a decade. Together we have been priming the industry over the last 18 months on how to get to grips with BIM. We understand both the capabilities of the industry and what specifiers expect.

Metz develop software solutions to enable BIM Content to interact with existing back of house data solutions or develop new solutions on a bespoke basis for clients who wish to develop broad structured data efficiencies across their business.
